NOCO Active 20/30 New Member Application

New Member Process

In order to be admitted as a member of NoCo 20-30, a Candidate for Membership must submit an application to the membership committee, interview with a panel of our members, and receive a formal invitation to become a member.

A Candidate for Membership will need to return the following items to the Membership Committee before consideration for membership may be granted.

  • Membership application-to include a description of the Candidate for Membership’s ability to contribute two of the following three characteristics to the membership and mission of NoCo 20-30.
    • Time- Ability to attend bi-monthly membership meetings and all organizational community events.
    • Talent- Unique community presence, visibility, or network
    • Treasure- Ability to significantly contribute to fundraising goals of the organization
  • Personal resume
  • 3 references

Membership Committee will meet periodically to the review new member applications.

Currently, applications for membership are accepted throughout the year.  A brief recruitment orientation can be found here .  Member interviews are conducted twice annually, in the spring and in the fall.

Upon completion of the above criteria, and recommendation by the membership committee, the Candidate for Membership will be presented to the Board of Directors for approval of Membership.

Upon approval, a Candidate for Membership will become a Provisional (non-voting) Member. Provisional Members will need to serve for a period of 6 months prior to becoming an Active Member.

Membership Expectations

Services: Serve the mission of NoCo 20/30 – “One never stands so tall as when kneeling to help a child”

Attendance:

  • Members are required to attend a minimum of 75% of the scheduled meetings, unless otherwise approved by the board. Meetings are held 1st and 3rd Monday’s of the month.
  • Members are expected to attend all organization community events hosted by NoCo 20/30.

Participate: Be a member of one of the following committees

  • Membership committee
  • Events Committee
  • Social Committee
  • Charity Review Committee

Contribute: All members are responsible for raising a minimum of $2,000 per year for the organization—the donation can be comprised of sponsorship solicitation, personal donation, corporate donation, or in-kind contributions. Other Forms of contribution may require approval by the Board of Directors.

Thunder Mountain Showdown at Bandimere Speedway 

  • Generated over $700,000 in cash and in-kind donations to date
  • Provided major financial support to the Boys & Girls Club capital campaign to build a new facility in Loveland, CO
  • Provided Christmas presents for over 300 kids' families through our Christmas for Kids campaign
  • Sent a total of 18 people on an exclusive private weekend tour of Napa Valley via private jet
  • Delighted 1 lucky couple with a trip to the 2011 Kentucky Derby via our Down & Derby Event
  • Provided funding for approximately 100 annual Junior/Senior Partner programs to Partners Mentoring Youth
